Knighthood of the 21st Century

There is a knighthood of the 21st century
Whose riders do not ride through the darkness of physical forests, as of old, but through the forest of darkened minds.
They are armed with a spiritual armor,
And an inner sun makes them radiant.
Out of them shines healing,
Healing that flows from the knowledge of the human being as a spiritual being.
They must create inner order, inner justice,
Peace, and conviction in the darkness of our time.
They must learn to work side by side with angels.

~Karl Koenig~

The Prayer Book of Medieval Chivalry says:

“The spiritual energy of the Path uses justice and patience to prepare your spirit.

“This is the Path of the Cavalier. An easy and at the same time a hard path, because it makes you abandon all useless things and relative friendships.
That is why at first one feels very hesitant about following it.

“This is the first lesson of Chivalry: you will erase what you have written in the book of your life until now: worry, insecurity, lies.
‘And instead of all this you will write the word courage.

‘Beginning the journey with this word, and following with faith in God, you will reach the place you have to reach.”

The Knight's Prayer:

Supreme commander, who has given me the admonition to be always ready and has granted me the grace to know it, help me to be fathful to it.

May all life's circumstances find me ready for duty: loving what is beautiful. doing what is right, perpetuating what is true. devoted to my kind, protector of animals, alwayes ready to forgive, always prompt to succor, smiling while undergoing trials, thinking clearly, being pure of heart, chaste of body, and only voicing things that are just.

Here lord are your footsteps. I want to follow them without fear and without reproach. My soul virile and my head held high. This is my promise as a knight, and upon my honor I shall not fail confident O Lord, in your love and your grace,
