For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life. (Lev.17:11)
I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (Jh.12:24)
He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth: wine that gladdens the heart of man,  oil to make his face shine, and bread that sustains his heart. (Ps.104:14-15)
Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars. She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table. She has sent out her maids, and she calls from the highest point of the city. &quot;Let all who are simple come in here!&quot; she says to those who lack judgment. &quot;Come, eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed. Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of understanding.&quot; (Proverbs 9:1-6)
Bread and wine were widely used in ancient religous cult:
The women added, &quot;When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes like her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?&quot; (Jer.44:19)
The Christian Holy Communion also has its initial image already in the Old Testament:
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High. (Gen.14:18)

According to the Psalm 110, Jesus identified with a priest in the order of Melchizedek (Mark.12:35-37):
The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: &quot;You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.&quot; (Ps.110:4)
The Book of Hebrews is all about Melchizedek theology.
In Genesis 18 the Holy Trinity appears to Abraham, who offers them something to eat, just like today Christ is with us at the table, not as a guest but as a Host.
The Covenant of Moses and 12 tribes has been replaced by the new covenant of Jesus Christ and the 12 apostles. The bread of presence and the blood of sacrifice have been replaced with the bread and wine of holy communion.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, &quot;Take and eat; this is my body.&quot; Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, &quot;Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.&quot; (Mt.26:26-28)
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, &quot;Take it; this is my body.&quot; Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. &quot;This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,&quot; he said to them. (Mk.14:22-24)

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, &quot;This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.&quot; In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, &quot;This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.&quot; (Lk.22:19-20)
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, &quot;This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.&quot; In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, &quot;This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.&quot; For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.  A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. (1 Cor.11:23-29)

A Canaanite woman (Mt.15) would have been pleased with the crumbs that fall from the master's table, yet she had a whole meal. Jesus repeatedly ate with tax collectors and &quot;sinners&quot; (Mt.9:11; 11:19; Mk.2:16; Lk.5:30, 7:34) - &quot;The Son of Man came eating and drinking&quot;. At the last supper there were Judas who betrayed him, and Peter who disowned him. Paul is telling to do against the clear example of Jesus (1 Cor.5:11)! Salvation and cure for the sickness of sin is available for anyone who shares the table with Jesus! The only demand is to approve Jesus in company. He defended equality of all, first and foremost open communion for supper. 

&quot;Your servant will do whatever my lord the king commands his servant to do.&quot; So Mephibosheth ate at David's  table like one of the king's sons. (2 Sam.9:11)
Jesus and his disciples didn't fast (Mark.2:18-19) and their communion was joyful time together, like a wedding feast, constant festive season. Every meal was a sabbath meal. Followers of Jesus lived Sabbath with their life, for them Jesus was a temple who sanctified their action. 
Jesus fed five thousand men: He gave thanks and broke the loaves, saying &quot;You give them something to eat&quot; he gave them to his disciples and they gave them to the people, acting as priests: This is the first Holy Communion. &quot;They all ate and were satisfied&quot;! (Mt.14:15-21; Mk.6:32-44; Lk.9:10-17; Jh.6:1-13)

The most important Bible passages concerning the doctrine of the Eucharist are in John 6, right after hungry crowd was fed: 
Jesus said to them, &quot;I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.&quot; (Jh.6:53-58)
His most meaningful sevenfold &quot;I am-sayings&quot; recorded by St. John, Jesus Christ begins with &quot;the Bread of Life&quot; (Jh.6) and ends with &quot;the True Vine&quot; (Jh.15), just like the parables in the gospels according to Mark and Luke begin with a sower and end with a Vineyard. &quot;It is certainly remarkable that the Lord's Prayer, as given in St. Luke's Gospel (Lk.11:5-9), is immediately followed by a parable which is based on an urgent call for bread at a most inconveniant hour&quot;, wrote Rev. Edward A. Larrabee, S.T.B. Neither it is insignificant that it is exactly the fourth petition of the Lord's Prayer - the midmost of all the seven - which speaks of the Bread! Even the name &quot;Betlehem&quot; means House of Bread - and we can understand the Evangelist is referring to more than mere geographical place. 


After the resurrection it came obvious to disciples that they met their Lord most intimately at the table, breaking the bread.  It was at the supper when the disciple whom Jesus loved was reclining next to him. 

The story of encounter on the road to Emmaus (Lk.24:13-35) includes the structure of the Mass. Like a master who returned from a wedding banquet (Lk.12:35-38) and served himself his servants, Jesus washed his disciples' feet (Jh.13:1-18) for he is among us as one who serves (Lk.22:27). Think about the parable of the lost son (Lk.15:11-31) in the context of the Eucharist too! 

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my lover among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. (Song of Songs 2:3-4)
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. (Psalm 23:5)
As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you. (Isaiah 62:5)
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. (Rev.3:20)

Touching Life - The Ultimate Reality
Holy Communion is a strong bell of mindfulness. We drink and eat all the time, but we usually ingest only our ideas, projects, worries, and anxiety. We do not really eat our bread or drink our beverage. If we allow ourselves to touch our bread deeply, we become reborn, because our bread is life itself. Eating it deeply, we touch the sun, the clouds, the earth, and everything in the cosmos. We touch life, and we touch the Kingdom of God. [...] When we are truly there, dwelling deeply in the present moment, we can see that the bread and the wine are really the Body and Blood of Christ and the priest's words are truly the words of the Lord. The body of Christ is the body of God, the body if ultimate reality, the ground of all existence. We do not have to look anywhere else for it. It resides deep in our own being. The Eucharistic rite encourages us to be fully aware so that we can touch the body of reality in us. Bread and wine are not symbols. They contain the reality, just as we do.

Jesus Living Within Us

When we gather around the Eucharistic table and eat from the same bread and drink from the same cup, saying,  &quot;This is the Body and Blood of Christ,&quot; we become the living Christ, here and now.

Our faith in Jesus is not our belief that Jesus, the Son of God, lived long ago, performed great miracles, presented wise teachings, died for us on the cross, and rose from the grave.  It first of all means that we fully accept the truth that Jesus lives within us and fulfills his divine ministry in and through us.  This spiritual knowledge of the Christ living in us is what allows us to affirm fully the mystery of the incarnation, death, and resurrection as historic events.  It is the Christ in us who reveals to us the Christ in history.
Jesus Living Among Us

The Eucharist is the place where Jesus becomes most present to us because he becomes not only the Christ living within us but also the Christ living among us.  Just as the disciples at Emmaus who had recognised Jesus in the breaking of the bread discovered a new intimacy between themselves and found the courage to return to their friends, we who have received the Body and Blood of Jesus will find a new unity among ourselves.  As we realise that Christ lives within us, we also come to realise that Christ lives among us and makes us into a body of people witnessing together to the presence of Christ in the world.

Cosmic Vision
The sun's rays enter the wheat. The wheat is          converted into bread. Thus the sun's life giving properties are          contained in the bread - food and heat.
There are familiar names for morning sunrise:          daybreak and crack of dawn. Thus, one receives life by breaking the          bread and eating it.
During the colder months of the year when the sun          is low on the horizon, atmospheric conditions produce those beautiful          red sunrises and sunsets. The red symbolizes wine and blood.

Family Ordination?
Was thinking as a result of the recent Episcopal and Lutheran conventions in which thousands of dollars or more is spent to bring everyone together to have cantankerous battles over women bishops, gay and lesbian clergy and relationships, married priests, not to mention the upkeep of church buildings, that perhaps another way exists for being Church. (Large national synods are coming in the Roman Catholic Church soon here in the States, with the impetus coming from 99% of the church membership--so-called lay folks--not from the hierarchy--so this applies here as well).
Why don't we look to our Jewish brethren for some guidance? Perhaps we could move 'church' back into the home. It seems to me that we could ordain one or two members of a family to serve as celebrants for the household or extended family. This would be similar to Passover or weekly Shabbat (Sabbath) dinners in which bread and wine are blessed in the middle of the family. Ordinations could be held in monastery or convent chapels. Perhaps we might have places to celebrate great feasts with a larger community for those who so wish. We might have servant-bishops as resource persons not rulers.

And he said: &quot;I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.&quot; (Mt.18:3)
Jesus said, &quot;Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.&quot; (Mt.19:14)

The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he &quot;has put everything under his feet.&quot; Now when it says that &quot;everything&quot; has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Cor.15:26-28)
If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us. (2 Tim.2:12)

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 
&quot;Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.&quot; (Psalm 103:21)
&quot;Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.&quot; (Mt.5:4)
&quot;But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.&quot; (Mt.5:44-45)
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, &quot;My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.&quot; (Mt.26:39)
&quot;My food,&quot; said Jesus, &quot;is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.&quot; (Jh.4:34)
&quot;For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.&quot; (Jh.6:38)
One of you will say to me: &quot;Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?&quot; (Rm.9:19)
The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. (1 Cor.15:47)
&quot;And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!&quot; (Phil.2:8)
&quot;For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.&quot; (Gal.5:17)
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:17)
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. (Rev.21:1-2)
 Give us this day our daily bread. 
When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, &quot;What is it?&quot; For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, &quot;It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat. This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer  for each person you have in your tent.' &quot;The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little.  And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed. Then Moses said to them, &quot;No one is to keep any of it until morning.&quot; However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. (Ex.16:14-20)
Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: &quot;Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there.&quot; (1 Kings 17:2-4)
All at once an angel touched him and said, &quot;Get up and eat.&quot; He looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. (1 Kings 19:5-6)
The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. (Proverbs 10:3)
Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. (Proverbs 30:8)
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. (Psalm 37:25)
He rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven. Men ate the bread of angels; he sent them all the food they could eat. (Psalm 78:24-25)
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. (Psalm 145:15-16)
It is written: &quot;Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.&quot; (Mt.4:4)
&quot;Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.&quot; (Mt.5:6)
&quot;No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.&quot; (Mt.6:24)
&quot;Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?&quot; [...] &quot;And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.&quot; [...] &quot;But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.&quot; (Mt.6:25, 28-29, 33-34)

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. (Mt.14:19)
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, &quot;Take and eat; this is my body.&quot; (Mt.26:26)
&quot;Send the people away so they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.&quot;  But he answered, &quot;You give them something to eat.&quot; (Mk.6:36-37)
&quot;If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!&quot; (Lk.11:13)
But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' (Lk.12:16-21)
But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. (Lk.12:31)
Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. (Lk.12:33)
In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. (Lk.14:33)
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. (Jh. 6:27)
Jesus said to them, &quot;I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.&quot; &quot; Sir,&quot; they said, &quot;from now on give us this bread.&quot;  Then Jesus declared, &quot;I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.&quot; (Jh.6:32-35)
Jesus said to them, &quot;I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.&quot; (Jh.6:53-58)
And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf. (1 Cor.10:16-17)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil.4:6-7)
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)
 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 
Then the LORD said to Cain, &quot;Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.&quot; (Gen.4:6-7)
Your wrongdoings have kept these away; your sins have deprived you of good. (Jer.5:25)
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5-6)
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. (Psalm 32:1-2)
&quot;Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.&quot; (Mt.5:7)
&quot;Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.&quot; (Mt.5:23-24)
&quot;For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.&quot; (Mt.7:2)

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins....&quot; (Mt.9:6)
&quot;And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.&quot; (Mt.11:25-26)
&quot;For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.&quot; (Mt.12:37)
&quot;Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. &quot;This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart.&quot; (Mt.18:23-35)
Do to others as you would have them do to you. (Lk.6:31)
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.&quot; (Lk.6:38)
Jesus said, &quot;Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.&quot; (Lk.23:34)
&quot;If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.&quot; (Jh.20:23)
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? (Rm.2:1-3)
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. (Gal.6:7)
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Cor.5:10)
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Eph.4:32)
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Col.3:13)
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:8-9)
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. (1 John 3:15)
The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. (Rev.20:13)
 And lead us not into temptation.

As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been. [...] So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the LORD; he did not follow the LORD completely, as David his father had done. (1 Kings 11:4, 6)

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil... (Mt.4:1)
&quot;Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.&quot; (Mt.5:5)
&quot;Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.&quot; (Mt.26:41)
&quot;I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
Jesus answered, &quot;You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.&quot; (Jh.19:11)
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (1 Cor.10:13)
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil. (Hebrews 2:14)
Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. (Hebrews 2:18)
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)
When tempted, no one should say, &quot;God is tempting me.&quot; For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. (James 1:13-14)
But deliver us from evil.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I have not done evil by turning from my God. (2 Sam.22:22)
He did evil because he had not set his heart on seeking the LORD. (2 Chr.12:14)
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Ps.23:4)
If a man pays back evil for good, evil will never leave his house. (Proverbs 17:13)
&quot;Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.&quot; (Mt.5:3)
Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. (Mt.5:37)
But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Mt.5:39)
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. (Mt.15:19)
&quot;Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!&quot; (Mt.18:7)
&quot;What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?&quot; (Mt.18:12)

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rm.8:38-39)
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Rm.12:21)
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thes.3:3)
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. (2 Tim.4:18)
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:15-16)

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chron.29:11)
I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
&quot;Amen! May the Lord do so!&quot; (Jer.28:6)
Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen. (Ps.72:19)
All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you. They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dom inion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. (Psalm 145:10-13)

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. (Lk.2:9)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. (Jh.1:1-3)
We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (Jh.1:14)
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. (1 Cor.4:20)
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are &quot;Yes&quot; in Christ. And so through him the &quot;Amen&quot; is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Cor.1:20)
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Eph.3:20-21)
To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. (Rev.3:14)

<description>So far I have found helping Glbt-Christians quite ungrateful and frustrating task. How to help people who seem not to appreciate it at all? I'm not expecting thanks but to see some activity! Not words but deeds.&amp;nbsp;

 It's hard to believe there would not be Glbt-Christians in a town sized like this more than those few I have met (and whom I obviously can't count on!). Maybe the rest are so deep in the closet that their asses are in Narnia and they are asking for forgiveness for their very existence! Those who fear they are going to hell are in hell! It is a state of mind characterized by fear - which is opposed to Love, that is the key to the Kingdom of Heaven. But it is never too late to turn around and change your mind: Jesus Christ is calling you by name and He will set you free!

Even if I'd rather be alone in peace, love forces me to go among people and take action! And with St. Paul I can say, &amp;quot;To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh...&amp;quot; (2 Cor.12:7)&amp;nbsp;
&amp;quot;Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?&amp;quot; (John 6:9) - How far will I go among so many, is a question, but I just need to believe I can be a mustard seed and the yeast, and keep doing invisible deeds in faith (&amp;quot;Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see&amp;quot; Hepr.11:1): As in heavens, so also on earth - let us not be found like fig trees without any fruit but rather the branches in the vine!
